Worrals Carries On by W. E. Johns was serialised in Girl's Own Paper in 12 issues, from October 1941 to September 1942. It was first published in book form by Lutterworth in October 1942, with further impressions in 1948 and 1950. The books was also published by Musson Press, Toronto in 1945 as part of their Venture Books for Girls series. In 2013, Indiebooks issued a new edition.
The events in the book take place in Britain during the Second World War.
