Following the demise of the Dervish movement in the area and as a reward for Italy's participation in World War I on the Entente side, the UK ceded the territory of Oltre Giuba (Trans-Juba) to Italy in 1925. It was known as Italian Somaliland until WWII.
Chromolithograph Map, dissected and laid on linen. The map is housed in a marble card wrapper.
