The Ides Of May: The Defeat of France May-June 1940 (1968) By John Williams
One of the most factual and objective books I read about the Campaign on France. Written by an Englishman who knows what he is writing about and who does not feel the urge to sink the poor French more than they were by the Germans, not forgetting that the Brits were sunk too during the same Campaign. Facts are abundant and show well how the French fought and were beaten. Good reading for somebody who wants to know the realities of the beginnings of WW2.
