      a brilliant book

The ook 'Olive' by Peter Fenton is brilliant. The incredible war years in Towvsville are told in such a way the book is riveting. Olive is a true hero- and one of the nurses in WW2 who joined the medial team to help soldiers and the wounded as the ADF and RAAF fought in Port Moresby to defend Austraian shores. her qualities, courage and compassion are outstanding. Her insights beyond belief. It is a must read for all thsoe who live in NQld and all who wish to know what itw as like to be in WW2
