Photo-illustrated title page. Poignant work in which Karl Brauer, a political prisoner under the Nazis, relates his own experiences during his three years and nine months imprisonment in Buchenwald. This volume is illustrated throughout with 18 in-text photogravures depicting emaciated prisoners, crematory ovens showing incinerated corpses, bodies of dead prisoners piled up, and various aspects of the death camp.
