Biggles and the Sargasso Triangle #1 (1977) By Captain W.E. Johns
 
Sargasso-Mysteriet was the first in a series of graphic novels first published in Swedish by the Stockholm based publisher Semic from 1977 onwards with text and artwork by Björn Karlstrom. Sargasso-Mysteriet was translated by Peter James and published in the UK by Hodder and Stoughton as Biggles and the Sargasso Triangle in 1978. Translations of the book exist in Dutch and various Scandanavian languages.
 
As befits a first sortie in this new format, this work depicts a wide range of aircraft with something for every enthusiast. Biggles is shown shooting a film with Albatroses and Sopwith Camels. He uses the venerable Sea Otter and DC-3. Meanwhile there is a range of modern (for that time) aircraft such as the E2-C, Nimrod, Orion and Black Hawk.
